Nov 18, 2009 Cannot load soundsource 'ARP 2600 Sawtooth' from the directory 'Trilian Library' File ARP 2600 Sawtooth.ZMAP may be missing or corrupted. Try refreshing the soundsource brower. I've done a search on my computer for the.ZMap it's asking for and it can't find it. Can you please point me in the right direction please. Omnisphere issue. Cannot load SoudSource in Directory 'Core Library. Try refreshing index in Browser. Anybody know how to rectify this? The data files for Omnisphere are stored in your STEAM folder. Hi,
I recently installed Omnisphere and whenever I try to run the updater it keeps giving me the error 'failed to open output file', I have tried following the advice on the Spectrasonics knowledge base (making sure permissions are set up correctly for the folders), but I am having no luck. I have also tried re-installing the STEAM library (and I am currently trying it for the third time as I type this).
I am using OS X Mavericks, and the STEAM folder is 44.2GB in size (in case it appears that something hasn't installed properly). Does anyone have any idea on something which could be done about this that I may have missed, I am at my wits end (have been trying to get this working since Thursday).
Not sure if it is of any relevance, but when I tried to run Omnisphere (in demo mode as they recommend not authorising until updating) some of the sounds load (they all appear in the browser) but I get the error 'Cannot load SoundSource 'Atmosphere Strings - Close a' in Directory 'Core Library'. Try refreshing index in Browser.'
I have tried emailing Spectrasonics support (and I am still awaiting a reply - granted it was thanksgiving when I emailed them), and even tried calling them on Friday (went straight through to answer machine - seeing as I am in the UK I left a message, but am not sure if they would call me back - considering I am in a completely different continent).
Sorry if this has been asked before (or is posted in the wrong forum), I tried searching the forums on here (and KVR) but nothing has come up.
Many thanks.

Your STEAM folder is located inside your Spectrasonics folder. See the instructions below to find your Spectrasonics folder. Inside your Spectrasonics folder you'll find STEAM, which may be the STEAM folder, or it may be an alias (Mac) or Shortcut (Window) to the STEAM folder.
On Mac, the Spectrasonics folder is located here:
Macintosh HD/Users/<Your Username>/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics
From Mac OS X 10.7 and higher, Apple have made the User - Library folder a hidden folder by default. This is to stop general Mac users fiddling with settings, however, music makers will require using this folder from time to time.
Please see the handy article below on how to unhide your User Library folder in Mac OS X 10.7 or higher

Storing sound files on a secondary drive
If you are wanting to store your Omnisphere audio files on a second hard drive, you can put the Spectrasonics/STEAM folder onto your second drive. You will then need to create an alias or 'short cut' to this location on your main Mac or Windows drive. You can create an alias (Mac) or a short cut (Windows) by right-clicking (ctrl+click for Mac users) the STEAM folder and selecting it from the menu. Teamviewer.
Once you have done this, you will then need to either locate or create the following folder on your main drive:
On Mac, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be created here:
Cannot Load Soundsource From Directory Core Library Omnisphere 2 Download
Macintosh HD/Users/<Your Username>/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics
On Windows Vista and Windows 7, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be located here:
C:ProgramDataSpectrasonics
On Windows XP, the Spectrasonics folder needs to be created here:
C:Documents And SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSpectrasonics
C:Documents And SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSpectrasonics
Cannot Load Soundsource From Directory Core Library Omnisphere 2 3
You will then need to move the STEAM alias folder (or the STEAM short cut folder) into the Spectrasonics folder on your main drive.
Cannot Load Soundsource From Directory Core Library Omnisphere 2 Download
Note: On Mac, once you have placed the 'STEAM alias' folder on your main drive, you will need to rename it removing the word alias from the file, otherwise it will not work. You should now have a 'STEAM' folder on your main drive that is pointing to its actual location on your second drive.
Now when you close and re-launch your host application, Omnisphere should be pulling the audio files from off of the second hard drive.
